The Intelligent Battery has a lifetime up to 50% greater than any other ordinary automotive battery. Developed with new agents of chemical, electrical and mechanical nature (CEM Agents), the product offers a special performance when faced with the most rigorous external circumstances. In situations under which ordinary automotive batteries suffer, the Intelligent Battery provides corrective responses.

The result is a greater capacity to combat the main problems faced by common batteries, which include: the increase of the temperature inside the engine compartment; intensive and deep discharges, dilatations due to the cycles of charge and discharge, and vibrations that are transmitted from the vehicle to the battery. Which are these new agents?

Chemical Agent:
Ag-10 silver-tin alloy, present in the positive plates;

Electrical Agent:
Active ions, present in the electrolyte (solution);

Mechanical Agent:
3D and continuous structured frame of the positive plates.

How do these new agents act?

• Chemical Agent: Ag-10 silver-tin alloy. When exposed to high temperatures, as of the engine compartment, the battery’s Ag-10 alloy blocks the corrosive action of the electrolyte against the structure of the positive plates. In the event of a deep discharge, the chemical action of the grid alloy becomes evident once again, guaranteeing a conductive bond between the grid and the active material. The outcome is a higher intensity flow of recharge current.
• Electric Agent: Positive ions present in the solution avoid the dissolution of lead sulfate and the resultant risk of micro short-circuits - which often appear when the battery suffers a recharge after a long discharged period. Those ions also improve the electrolyte conductivity, especially after long discharges and increasing charge acceptance.
• Mechanical Agent: 3D structure and continuous frame of the positive plates. The structure (grid) acts by retaining the active material (mass), especially when facing the forces of contraction and dilatation resultant of charging cycles and vibrations transmitted from the vehicle to the battery. It keeps the integrity of the plates, preventing deformations and perforations in the separators.

These agents are so-called intelligent because they perform under situations deemed to be critical for the batteries, and which reduce the battery’s lifecycle, such as:

• In high temperatures reached inside the engine compartment (C);
• Deep discharges (E);
• In vibrations and successive charging cycles (M).
